2022 “Get Out the Vote” Gallery, AIGA’s Design for Democracy

Inspired by American political campaigns and local elections, the 'Merica Vote symbol was created with positivity in mind. A minimalistic representation of United States stars and stripes flag elements reside within a check mark container enveloped in a field of Sky Blue symbolizing a simple message to vote in America.

This work was generated during personal project exploration. The results were honors including a Gold Award from Hermes Creative, a Gold Award from MarCom, a Silver Award from the Indigo Design Awards, and an Honorable Mention from the International Design Awards. In addition to submitting the poster design into competition, I developed a poster and social square for AIGA to support Design for Democracy and their Get Out the Vote initiative.

Design for Democracy is based on the premise that good design makes your choices clear. AIGA’s GOTV initiative was intended to help get out the vote in communities for crucial midterm elections. GOTV posters and social squares designed by AIGA members were available for printing and public distribution by all.
